The easiest way since Paris Gare du Nord is to take a Eurostar to London St Pancras (approx. 2h20). From here, a LNER train from London Kings-Cross à Edinburgh Waverley te makes the journey in around 4h30, with several daily departures, without the need for additional connections.
The Edinburgh is centrally located, just a stone's throw from all the must-see sights, and the streetcar and bus network connects you easily to it, making it easy to explore the city without a car.
